Muddy River Opera Company's success is not possible without the hard work of our dedicated volunteers. Though we currently only produce one operatic performance per year, we still require volunteers to assist with our community outreach, fundraising and administration of the opera company. A few of our volunteer opportunities are shown below.

Advocacy

Write or speak to our legislators to support arts funding.

Marketing

Distribute flyers, solicit corporate sponsors, sell ad-space in our programs, sell raffle tickets or generate social media buzz. If you're a Marketing or Business student, Muddy River Opera Company gladly participates in capstone and experiential learning projects.

Transportation & Lodging

Be a host for our world class performers! Provide transportation from the airport and host one of our esteemed cast members while they rehearse and perform in Quincy.

Usher

Greet our patrons as they enter the theater, work the coat check desk (seasonal), assist patrons to their seats, distribute programs and provide information on the show.

Builder

Gain experience and put your craftsmanship to the test by helping Muddy River Opera Company design and construct our sets.

Fundraising

If you're sociable and love to throw parties, Muddy River Opera Company could use your help in their fundraising efforts. We need volunteers who are interested in decorating, coordinating and hosting large social events. Though not on the stage, your talent is part of what makes our opera company shine!

Administrative

Assemble mailings, maintain our social media presence, take photos of performances and events, recruit new volunteers, screen cast auditions and assist with other tasks our Board of Directors need completed to make our productions a success.
